Swiss Sport Integrity strongly opposes the organization and media staging of the so-called “Enhanced Games.” This planned event format, in which the use of performance-enhancing substances and methods is deliberately permitted and even promoted, stands in stark contrast to the core values of sport such as fairness, health, and integrity.

Ernst König, Director of Swiss Sport Integrity, states: “Swiss Sport Integrity considers the concept of the ‘Enhanced Games’ fundamentally flawed. The promise of a safe and fair sport through experimental doping of athletes is a highly dangerous illusion. Such an event undermines the socially recognized values of clean sport.”

The Swiss anti-doping organization explicitly points out the serious medical and psychological dangers associated with the use of performance-enhancing substances. Scientific evidence is clear: doping substances have significant side effects and endanger the health of athletes. Such formats create false incentives, downplay the health risks, and send a dangerous message to sports-enthusiastic children and adolescents.

Swiss Sport Integrity will continue to take a firm stand against any form of doping trivialization and remain committed to clean and fair sport.
